Ive had that before. Did you accidently unplug anything? Make sure all connections are in all the way. As long as you didnt break anything off you can still fix it.

i fixed my ps2, i just took it completely apart, the eject/reset cable was disconnected, so i connected it, and now everything is dandy, and i dont get anymore problems with the ps2 reading the san andreas disk.

I have been playing for 13 houre total and am only 14% done. This is the longest game i have ever played.
