My all time favorite book would have to be
Gates Of Fire
by Steven Pressfield
Gates of Fire is an historical novel about an elite group of 300 Spartan warriors which defied all odds and stood against the invading Persian army of millions of soldiers.
The battle took place at Thermopylae and was written in history.
this book takes an in depth look at how the society of Spartans was, how they were raised, what they believed, how they were trained to become the finest soldiers the world would ever meet, and finally it concludes with the detailed and thorough description of the battle and why it had such an importance for the Democracy and freedom of the whole of the western world. Everything is taken from facts that are written and found in old historic books of the ancient Greece, all over the world and with the help of Historic Professors from Universities around the world.
It would worth your time reading this book.
After the Quake
the prophecy
I don't know about best, but if I was going with the simplest or easiest book to read.. I'd probably say The Old Man and the Sea.
It's the Bible. It's a must read Book. To all reading lovers, I encourage you to read the whole book of KJV Bible. Give a try. At least once a year. We'll see the result. :)
The Unknown Soldier by Väinö Linna.
I might have been saying the same before in the thread but.
The Education of Little Tree
People always want to recite quotes by men that history tell is great and on some sort of winning side. But this book is different. If you haven't heard of it then read it. Drama come later.

My favorite book is A beautiful Mind. It is based upon the true story of a great mathematician Joan Nash. This book is really inspirational.
Think and grow rich by Napoleon Hill.
Some recommendations:
Brave New World by Aldous Huxley
Cien años de soledad (One Hundred Years of Solitude) by Gabriel García Márquez
Animal Farm by George Orwell
I don't know if these are the best I've read so far, but they sure are excellent books.
"Gone With the Wind" was one of my favorite books. Dostoevsky's "Humiliated and Insulted" was also good, though it was sad. Bulgakov's "Master and Margarita" was a really difficult book to understand; I mean, it was an easy read, but still was a difficult book to understand, if you know what I mean. I also liked Robert Howard's stories about Konan. "Headless Horseman" by Mayne Reid was a great book also...
It's not my best, but it's a series that I'm going through right now with much enjoyment.
Nightside Series by Simon R Green (Fantasy genre). The 12th book of the series is due for release this winter (hopefully). The first book was barely passable, and thankfully I kept reading (on book 6 atm). It's easy to read, funny at moments, creepy in others and generally a relaxing read.
