Caught The Knick over the weekend. Thoroughly enjoyed the production values--the surgery FX are equally gross and captivating, they look to be practical. Cliff Martinez's score is composed of anachronistic synths. Works surprisingly well. Might be the highlight of the show. Otherwise, it's essentially House M.D. meets Gangs of New York. Clive Owen in the role is like Hugh Laurie without the acerbic charm. Which is cool given the context.
I'm cautiously optimistic we'll get to see Eve Hewson's boobs before season's end. Being cinemax and all. Take that, Bono.

Scorpion got very cheesy very fast and general wastes some OK characters in it's never-ending quest to be heartwarming.
It also doesn't help that the main character is essentially a douche which might be tolerable if he were at least an interesting douche.
In other news,just when I thought American Horror Story couldn't possibly get any gayer,Neil Patrick Harris joins the cast.
As Ryan Murphy clearly gave up trying to tell any kind of story long ago( half way through the first season to be exact) I'm not so much now watching the show as counting down the episodes until this horrible shit is over.
