Hey anon,my torrents have gone red in utorrent. Any idea what can be done about this.?

Highlight one of them, go to the Trackers tab at the bottom and tell me what the "status" for the tracker is.

Timeouts can be caused by a variety of conditions, both on your and the tracker's side. You may be oversaturating your connection (by leeching or uploading at full speed) so much that there's not enough bandwidth left for tracker announces, or the tracker may be receiving so much traffic from all its users it can't keep up with it anymore, and in a worst-case scenario went down. In the former case, try closing all other programs that use your network connection and limiting your uTorrent upload speed (to 75-80% of your real one) and update the tracker manually. Otherwise, just keep the client open until the arrow is green again.

That will only "fix" the problem for a while if his upload speed limit isn't the right one, and won't do anything at all if it's a tracker issue.
