Basically I've hear that you can upgrade the server to managed and then support works fine but that is additional 10 or 15 euro per month....

I just bought a dedicated server at webtropia. it can take up to a week before its done so i'll share my experience with it once it has been setup.

I installed Serv-U FTP server on my dedicated server and FTP Voyager on the client side (at home), and the speed raised to 300-500 Kb/s. SSH is not good, it is slow because it is secure...
Try filezilla ftp server in server and but connections max 10, then your filezilla client put also 10 for connections...
