Use Sandboxie to check. It will keep you 100% safe.
What does sandboxie do to make browsing the web safer? I use it for opening a program like Steam multiple times but never considered using it for anything else.

Sandboxie is nice, if you are ever iffy about anything, run it through sandboxie first. Guaranteed to extend the life of your OS. ;)

Sandboxie is great, yes. I've been using it since '07 and it's proven extremely helpful to try things without contaminating the rest of the system. Not everything works on it though, and that's when VirtualBox kicks in. :P
