so rap doesn't use instruments then?
and how exactly do you explain "using their voice as an instrument" then?
an instrument could be a triangle or a tuba, what kind of voice sounds like a triangle?
or am i missing the point? do you mean melodic like an instrument?
if so, and you think rap is not "melodic", i suggest you go away and listen to some rap before you comment again.
plus, some of the rock i've heard doesn't exactly show off the singer's voice like an orchestra, in fact, a lot of the stuff i've heard is screaming and shouting.

anyway ive herad rap before and all i wan to do is turn the shit off after 1 minute if i was to write a score up of a melody of the vocalist of rap what would it look like??? well ill tell ya... it wont go up in down in steps at all it will be like this...

why do you have to be able to write the pitch of the voice in a score?
i like the way you also ignorantly stereotype all rap artists to be gangsters who call women bitches and shoot people on drive by's all day long.
a simple question, have you ever tried to rap? download an instrumental of a rap song, something pretty slow and simple, like Eminem - My Name Is, print out the words and try to rap along. i don't think you'll get very far.
download some of tupac's greatest hits, listen to them, try and make it through the "agony".

Ok i have recorded my self rapping i will gladley share it on soulseek for everyone to dl it only gos for 1 minute long im serious too no joking i mixed it myself with cakewalk and rapped over it my own work no joke it was the work of 2 minutes!!! when i work on rock stuff it takes days!!!

unless you're rapping a capella, you need to rap in time with music.
most rap/hip hop music is quite a bit faster than normal speech.
