i need help regarding this tip, i couldnt find TCP/IP in reg and that TCP optimizer would let me make any changes so should i do

I just picked the cable option on TCP optimizer, reset my computer then resarted TCP optimizer and visited Bandwidthplace Speedtest and followed the instructions. I'm now up to 1.1mb/s!!!

Typical latency is the most common problems with broadband connections.
If your ping times are over 100ms set the recieve buffer size to 64240.

If you are suffering from low latency, Ping times under 100ms or your having high ping losses set your receive buffer size to 32120.

If u would like to measure your ping times go to PC Pitstop and run there Ping test
Which measures the round trip time in milliseconds for a packet to travel from your pc to seven other web sites and back.

This will help you figure out the best setting for your connection :)

Hmmm, thanks for the tip Brother but it doesn't seem to have made any difference whatsoever to my connection. I've tried both of your recommended TCP Window Sizes (amongst others including the overkill of 999999) and no joy :( .

By the way I'm not sure that the Bandwidth Place speed test is all that accurate. The test provided by my ISP (plus Net in the UK) suggested that my connection speed was about 480kbps while the Bandwidth place averaged out at about 220kbps. Perhaps I'm being naive and my ISP is lying to make themselves look good but theirs does seem to be the most accurate figure whenever I download direct from the web (AV updates etc.) :)

3 minutes after restarting my computer my average download speed had a slight jump. Not much though. Thanks for the tip.

i got it finally and those of you didnt know about RegEdit option then follow below instructions and brotherboobie that was nice tip but i am sorry to say that you didnt have cluw what u was talking about.

4 those individuals who still havent solved the problem follow these instructions:
