thanks, my kaspersky AV has run out of licence time :s so the info about NOD32 is great
love nod32. low on resources compared to that stupid Nortons AV.
I like using Avast. The free version does everything you need in an AV program. It seems to find everything, and can even scan web (http) and e-mail (pop3) in real-time. No pop-ups, spyware, nagware, etc. either in the free version.
I'll second Zonearlarm as best firewall.

I am using Twister AntiVirus and it is very good and cheap in the same time, as you pay just once for lifetime. It is true that after the first scan you will find some unknown viruses/troyans on your desktop/laptop, but you have the possibility to rename them. It is easy going and reliable, just try it from www.filseclab.com
