Yea, I saw that if they asked nicely it might be removed, but it was the might that is throwing me off, why not remove it if they ask nicely, period?

They don't remove the review's once posted. << Notice the period.
The only time they remove them is if the information in the review is invalid or nulled. AKA it dissapears.

Yes, some people report the images at the hosts, saying they're breaking copyright, bla bla.
I have already advised using sites as bayimg, or hosting the images in the user's personal profile album, which don't suffer of such mechanics.
