They are a sensitive people. Why should they defend justice when there are other people about to do it for them.

French during WW2 could be more or less divided in 4 catagories:Quote:

Are you French at all. I merely ask to ensure that I don't insult a proper person, by assuming that they are French.
I wouldn't want to tar you with the same brush as a nation of collaborators and apologists.
The colaborationists, the resistants ,The prisoners, and people who care more about feeding their family, than the war, as starvation ruled.
So why do you skip 3 of those catagories?

It's simple, the British were split into one category, the people who fought against Fascism and amongst other things liberated France.
That involved starving their families and sacrificing their sons. So don't get high and mighty about giving up.
Let us not make something complex, simple.
The English are not brave, the French are not cowards, Americans kick ass.
Shall I remember your geographiy lessons:Quote:

France is only a country of 60 millions people and USA has about 300 millions
With regard to the last couple of posts. I am in the fortunate position of being neither English nor French.
More good luck than good judgment tho'.
you missed out the fact america likes to get involved in wars which have nothing to do with them.

Neither am I American, but I wouldn't expect a jingoistic Frenchman to acknowledge the difference.
Too busy justifying your inactivity when the chips are down.

All the goods and food in France were sistematicaly confiscated by the nazis.
French men had also to work in Germany the 2 last years of the war. Lot's of people, especialy children and old people died from starvation. I'm not sure it was the same in england.
