Yemen has the slowest internet speed in the world with an average speed of just 0.38Mbps.
I am on 50Mbps and its super fine for what i do, sometimes ping in games can be a bit suss
Speed and latency aren't the same thing. This is a pretty contentious issue for Latin American gamers, as some providers don't have peering agreements and thus packets have to detour all the way through the United States, adding 150 ms or more.Quote:

It all hinges on the capacity of your ISPs Servers. Someone I know has estimated speed of 386meg but at times he is barely able to load a web page.
Speed, latency and packet loss are different things :P Personally, I value stability over speed and upload over download.

I am in switzerland and we have an ISP with 10Gbps connection.
My computer has only a 2.5 Gbps LAN port so I could only tried to reach this speed.
I use newshosting and I could download up to 178 Mo/s
It is really fast, really really fast.
