1. The default ports are: 4662 (TCP) & 4672 (UDP)
You can define that in Options --> Network.

2. Delete the Pro.dll and start Overnet, and then you will see the banner at the top of the application, but your downloads will still be pretty good. Else use the loader mentioned earlier in this topic or use the trick with the hosts file to get rid of the banner.

i have downloaded overnet lite and the crack to stop the banners. i am on a 600k b/b connection so i should have good d/l speeds. i was downloading a movie (cabin fever) and was averging 15-20 kb/s (not good). after waiting 48 hrs for the movie, it d/loaded 98.74% and stopped and to my amazement it was a flippin porn movie. i am so angry. overnet lite sucks in comparison to BT, i have never had that done to me and i have had better speeds on BT. so i am going to uninstall overnet lite and stick to what i know. i even had inside help to set my overnet up but to no avail and i've been instructed not to mention any names on who helped me with my overnet installation and trying to get top speeds

Did you get the ed2k link on ShareReactor? Did you search for the file on Overnet?
If you searched then there is a good explanation. A file's hashcode doesn't change if you rename the file. There are lamerz out there who rename the files to fool others, that why ShareReactor & similar sites are here. The links they index are verified and then you know exactly what you are downloading. Incl. the source is very different on different files. I've tested Overnet Lite for myself and I always get max. speed or something very close to it. (I have 512/128 kbit ADSL, so I can download with 52kb/sec).

@ mask look at my reply to your same post here and look at my screen shot and remember to use videolan for preview and learn to read the files in search right

to be honest the best advice i have ever givin any body is to share PORN, everybody wants porn, any time i want files or i check my uploads its porn, i have been downloading porn i have not even seen, just so my overnet speed stays high :lol: :lol: :lol:

ok, i have not installed overnet, you are right i have not given it a chance, i am now trying to download cabin fever again, i didnt see your reply earlier and am downloading a copy from sharereactor, so i hope that works, i am having problems trying to preview it though, any suggestions?

yeah, forget about previewing til you have the first few chunks of it, the best way to see what youre downloading is to expand the downloads view, so you can see the sources, and look at the filenames on the users that have 100% of the file.

EDIT If you have the first chunks of a file you can drag the ###.part file onto AVIpreview to view it (if it's a video format)

If it's from sharereactor, then it's going to be a real file.

amazingly that movie from shareactor was another porn movie!!! :angry: so i have downloaded it from kazaa now!
