Ted Turner's CNN was left-of-center, but remember, there was no Fox News for comparison, and Ted was out of the picture by the time Fox established itself.

CNN has always been prone to errors of omission - there were always notable things that went unreported.

Adding Jane Fonda to the equation didn't help.

Interesting that Ted was essentially a low-grade Trump - one could argue rightfully that Trump became TRUMP in order to escape whatever shadow Turner might have cast.

Well before Fox News, these things were never pointed out on any other network, the same you notice it here as well with our local and even our considered 24hr news networks they only side reported/quoted in US politics or anything going on is CNN, most of which if i watch already know it is bullshit Fake News..

Again with no other view or really showing the "FACTS" i never thought it to be untruthful, and really when Ted did run it, the reporters didn't show the bias they do today....

I don't pretend to know the private man though it should be noted that many a terrible person is good to their friends. I do know he was or perhaps maybe played a racist/misogynist/homophobe when the racism/misogynism/homophobism served him. I don't need anyone to tell me that. I know that from his own words.

If you were a friend of his then I'm truly sorry for your loss.No asterix. If we are being fair though, Rush the man wasn't adverse to saying unkind things towards others, many of whom couldn't return the abuse in kind. Punching down as it were. So again if we are being fair then his defenders shouldn't complain now when people do similar to him.

Also forgive me but more evil has been done in the name of religion than basically everything else combined so clinging to Christianity as proof of someone's moral meliority doesn't really resonant with me much.

Here is my problem with any speaking/opinion on anything, you can have your opinion and speak it is good, but also have an open mind and respect others of there's, meaning there is nothing wrong with diversity, and really Rush did speak of that. And when you have others that speak and are completely against anything they don't agree with, then there is the problem!!!, and there is lots of them out there, and they make better news and ratings to have them on don't they;)

Think about that for a second Idol......I have faith, but i am not "Religious", there are people that are in the middle and that is where Rush was and that can be bothersome to both sides Left and Right......

Again any opinion involved on CNN i would compare it to Wikipedia :), regardless if there is positive of negative opinions......

Here is a question, we communicate on a screen together, and we both have our opinions on things, some we do agree with and some we don't ,but seeing someone in person and seeing peoples expressions and reactions on a topic, do you think understanding other peoples views would be different??

Howard Stern does a radio show, do you think he is the same sitting at a table eating supper with friends??

Rush was considered a straight shooter, and respected for speaking of topics that most of the people that do have the same views do not, again if you remember back i said that Conservative and Moderate people just don't talk they vote, Rush had a show that did speak to those people even know they wouldn't....

And really the way News or media is today the loudest on both sides are usually the smallest part of the Country, but hey they make ratings and hits right;)..

I myself have fun here but i am not a radical !!! even know you see it that way, i have my views of things that i believe in and the same you have yours, but the question always is, and the country live with mine or yours, regardless if you claim to be Conservative or Liberal??

My sympathies as re Ms. Cupp, but her misapprehensions are no doubt due to her having not heard his words from his own mouth.

The only semi-acccurate thing in that ^^ blurb was his snide comment about feminism giving ugly women access to the mainstream.

I can easily imagine the same comment coming out of Liberal icon Bill Maher's mouth, except he wouldn't have been kidding.
