Watched Pans Labryinth.Was a good movie.The animation is very realistic, so was the cinematography.The movie is adapted from a book, a childrens' fairy tale, as such the plot is pretty straight forward at the same time intriguing.The kid really did a great job, Nicely acted.Overall 7/10.

Sling Blade (1996). Good film, to my mind. 8.5/10

Last film I watched was The Crow. Super cool movie, I really wish Brandon Lee had lived longer. I know there's a sequel to that movie, I don't think he's in it though.

Road House: The basic manly movie with lots of ass kicking and boobies bouncing.They story is about a bouncer hired to clean up a bar because he has a high reputation for neck ripping.The villain is an old rich guy that rules the town with no restrictions from the police because its all legal.This movie is filled with sluts and drunkards.

There are really no spoilers or plot to reveal...this is absolutely the flimsiest movie I've seen all year.

Let Him Have It (1991)

The poignant tale (based on a true case) of a "sub-normal" teenager in the justice system of 1950s Britian. Strong performances all-round; Christopher Eccleston portrays Derek with an innocent optimism that makes the way the events unfold all the more frustrating, Paul Reynolds as Chris Craig is simultaneously obnoxiously charismatic and pitiable, and Tom Courtenay does a fine job as an everyday father doing his best for his son. A notable classroom scene with revolvers and pistols makes for interesting era juxtaposition. The film starts off a bit slowly but forges ahead to a powerful finish.

Mutant (French zombie-type flick) - It was actually fairly well done. A little grittier than 28 Days (Weeks) later. 8/10

Still want to see Bronson (think I spelled it right).

Rise of the Footsoldier

One of the most underrated movies I've seen the last few years. A film full of violence with the main hero moving from the hooliganism of the late 80s to become a powerful gangster after 3 decades. He was a young man fighting for fun and we follow his life through fighting. He got married, made friends, divorced, found love in a rave party, watched friends die. Finally even as a respected gangster he still fights for his life and for his family.

Wall Street 2 Money Never Sleeps is a good movie but I liked more the first one

Never Let Me Go

Don't see this movie.

I'm not sure what I might have thought had I gone in cold but I had just read the book.
I'd compare the book>movie to what I'm certain would happen if A Confederacy of Dunces was ever translated to film...a disaster.

Never Let Me Go was one of those books that after the first 50 pages or so, I nearly put down unfinished.
It seemed very slow and mannered- almost Jamesian in it's nuance and description of (seemingly) minor detail.
If it wasn't for a vaguely weird and creepy subtext, I'm sure I never would have finished reading but I'm very glad I did.
It's a very adultsci-fi/horror concept that is never explicitly described or shown, the impact all the more stunning as the reader begins to understand what is actually happening.

The movie must boldly and straightforwardly explain what the reader slowly teases out for himself and because of that, the shock and sadness is all lost.

The book is fabulous, the movie is not.
I don't see how it could be really.

The Town- Ben Affleck, Jon Hamm, Jeremy Renner

Ben Affleck who co-wrote, directed and stars once again goes to the well in this story of bankrobbers in Boston.
I thought it was very well done, exciting and realistic without being artificially amped up.
The characters are fully developed and act logically, the plot serves them instead of the reverse.

I liked it.

I thought Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 started at 4:30 it didn't it started at 6:00. We ended up waiting 15 minutes and watched Due Date then when that finished we watched Deathly Hallows

First off Galifianakis and Downy were perfect for their roles. It was a cliche comedy but nonetheless very funny. I don't understand why people even review comedies, I mean their either funny or they're not. If there's some resemblance of a plot then that's a bonus.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows was a very exaggerated build up to a grand finale; Part 2. What I would've liked was more experimenting in the "Muggle" world but i don't know how you would achieve that without deterring from the plot.

What I believe JK. Rowling didn't really achieve was mixing with other wizarding schools. Goblet of Fire seemed to touch on this aspect but to leave it out for the rest of the series just seemed a bit strange. Again how any author would implement this idea without deterring from a plot I would have no idea.

Visually I was more than happy with Deathly Hallows, from the dark themes with small snippets of light comedy to the costumes of the dark lords servants to the dark gloomy settings to Voldermorts nose was amazing. Really liked how the franchise has turned out over the installments.

I can't believe how it abrupt it ended. It's going to be a sad to see this franchise finish. Nice to see that all the characters have grown up and most of them improved their portfolios. Daniel Radcliffe's (Harry Potter) performance has not improved throughout the installments.

Emma Watson fans will be glad to know there is a firey scene between Hermione and Harry Potter and when she's wearing the pink pinstripe coat.

For the record watching two movies back to back doesn't do your back any justice. Don't know how I'm going to survive if there is a Harry Potter marathon (20hrs worth).

Watched The Social Network.Finally, A movie which totally lives up to all the hype generated.Awesome movie, totally enjoyed it, watched it twice.But I must say, I don't have a facebook account :P

The American- George Clooney, some nice Italian boobage.

Clooney is weird.
He seems to do the big blockbuster films so he can afford to do oddball shit like this.
There isn't a glimmer of the self-aware charm that he brings to films like the Oceans franchise, in fact, he's completely wired and freaked out for this entire film.

The American seems very generic and pointless to me.
There were no clever plot points or unexpected events (after the opening scene), as the film progresses the ending becomes more and more obvious.
As an acting exercise, it's very one note and kind of tedious.
Italy is beautiful and certainly has some great looking women but I got the feeling that it was situated there just because Clooney lives nearby, there's no compelling reason for the locale.
In fact, from a plot standpoint the locale makes no sense at all.

It's a meh.

Green Zone (2010)
An awesome political thriller..was wrong to think of it as an action flick prior to watching it!

The Town 6/10 sokay but very similar to others in the same vain
13 8/10 as a remake i wasnt expecting much from this, and was pleasantly surprised that i spent alot of time on edge of seat.

Faster (2010) - Good emotional stuff.Not a total action movie.

Watch Buried.. Not sure if I liked it.. 1 actor in a coffin though the duration of the film, good acting but the film is doomed in my opinion..

lol, i watched the first 10 mins of this and shut it off and watched Salt instead.

The town - dint agree with the whole twisted love side but everything else was cool.Recommended.

I watched Home of the Brave the other week, it's about a bunch of soldiers who leave the army and can't fit into society. Plot was minimal just like the acting. Curtis Jackson (50 Cent) has got to be one of the worst actors I've seen ... and I've seen a few low budget films. Samuel L. Jackson was probably the main highlight in this film, loved his scenes. Anyone got some insight on how they did the scenes with Jessica Biel having no hand?

Little Fockers - 2010

i didn't think it was all that bad. it seems to have a different side of humor this time around and i liked it better than the first two films. it felt more serious with a hint of comedy thrown in unlike the previous two films which had a lot more silliness. jessica alba was full of hip cuteness. new age viagra, godfather references and penile injections. 6.5/10

The Tourist - 2010

ahh, good ole Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie. AJ was stunningly pretty and sophisticated, but just too damn skinny. JD plays a down to earth innocent guy that gets caught up in an english gangster feud. mildly snappy dialog kept me interested in the film throughout it's entirety. planes, trains and automobiles. 6.5/10

The Fighter - 2010

based on a true story Christian Bale and Marky Mark use their faces as a punching bag. CB plays his role perfectly and MM does what he does. CB does a good job just as long as he's NOT playing Batman. once again though he loses 60+ pounds and is skinny as hell, but then again this time he's playing a washed out crack head boxer. the speed of the movie is just below average. never dipping to a crawl, but you're always looking forward to something to speed it up which don't come until the movie is over. also, Amy Adams is a hottie even though not looking her best throughout the film. lol, EVERYONE is so run down in this movie. snobby limeys, kidney shots and some ugly ass sisters. 6/10

I watched Splice (2010) the other night. Splice is one of those SciFi/Thrillers that is a great concept but failed to execute it properly. I wasn't dissapointed however, had some nice twist and turns throughout :D.
