PeerGuardian and Bluetack Blocklist Manager (come in pls ;)
Some questions:- Which one would you use - PeerGuardian or Bluetack Blocklist Manager or both or none? Why?
To be able to block the IPs, do I need to open the PeerGuardian and Bluetack Blocklist Manager? How can I see the allow/block IP history in Bluetack Blocklist Manager (this one is offered in PeerGuardian)- Are the IP blocklists of PeerGuardian and Bluetack Blocklist Manager the same? If not, is it worth downloading/enabling both IP blocklists? Will this slow down or overkill too much?
Thanks. :)
Re: PeerGuardian and Bluetack Blocklist Manager (come in pls ;)
I use both, yes to block you need to open Peerg, i set it up to start with windows, Blocklist is not a blocker just a tool to download lists, peerg downloads its own lists. You cant see history in blockl, its NOT a blocker but just for downloading the lists.I am not sure if they are from same source.

Why use both?
Do you download both blocklists and use all together? If so, where do you export your blocklist? To Peer Guardian?
Did you experience any slowdown if you use both blocklists (I expect there must be some or many duplications)
Re: PeerGuardian and Bluetack Blocklist Manager (come in pls ;)
i think ur confused
peerguardian uses bluetacks blocklists, they dont have their own
so using both programs would just block the same thing twice
peerguardian is enough for anyone

It appears they contain different things just from the name of the sources.
Bluetack has 15 sources, while PeerGuardian(PG) has 5 only.

Re: PeerGuardian and Bluetack Blocklist Manager (come in pls ;)
By the way, do I need to add blocklists of:
- bogon, <-- a must to have?
- dshield, <-- a must to have?
- fornonlamacomputers (non-LAN) <-- is this one just to block LAN IPs?
- iana (3 packs),
- level1
- level2
What are their purposes?
Which one should I use?
Re: PeerGuardian and Bluetack Blocklist Manager (come in pls ;)
Does anyone know about which blocklist I should use?
Re: PeerGuardian and Bluetack Blocklist Manager (come in pls ;)
if its just for p2p, then use peerguardian2
use the p2p list, and goverment too if u wish
Re: PeerGuardian and Bluetack Blocklist Manager (come in pls ;)
