Microsoft upgrades Hotmail storage to 1GB

Neowin members (thanks DJLunacy for the initial post) are reporting that Microsoft's webmail service, Hotmail, is currently upgrading users from 250MB to 1GB. Windows Live Mail has a maximum of 2GB storage, but many users don't wish to use it, and therefore were stuck on 250MB.

Hotmail sucks ass.

w0w, i had like 250mb then BAM! hotmail disables my account for whatever reason. that brought me down to 10mb with activating my account. so, i just checked and it's up to 1gb. mighty nice of'em. thx.

I only have 6 emails in my hotmail account saved. It says I'm using 1% of the 1000MB. It's probably less than that.
