Dunno why you can't do that anymore but its a god idea,IMO.
They probably were taking up too much space.
Smilies take like 1MB of space and that's hardly anything but why would you wanna hide your online status anyway?
The "new" smilies where only temporary, because Jon didn't have the old ones.
So he put some other on the list until VB added the old ones again.
The Privacy Setting (the little square box) is still working. :huh:
Will any new ones be added back again? It doesn't matter that much but they were a nice addition.
Why remove the new ones? In my opinion, they added something to the boards, especially the expressive microwave icon. I say occasionally change the darn things, half of them are never used anyway.
They will be back soon

I'm guessing that we need to find a host for the images... as far as I can tell, VB is hosting them just now.
No hosting issues on the images...That wasn't the reason they were removed...We have been tweaking the settings and VB was bringing back the original smilies...
