title says it all. would an 80mm at 7v blow just as much air as a 60mm at 12v?
i might make one of those 80mm to 60mm adaptors and run an 80mm fan at 7v to make my computer quiete but i cant afford to have my temps go up any higher than the are! and can somebody also tell me how to make an 80mm-to-60mm adaptor?
edit: the 80mm would be a lot quieter right?
Depends on which 80mm fan and which 60mm fan......
The 60mm fans found on stock AMD coolers run at around 4800 RPM.
The 80mm fans usually run around 2600 RPM and even much slower at 7 volts.
So...
The 60mm will move more because of the speed but it's noisy.
if the 80mm was at 12v it would probably still be quieter and would then move more air than 60mm right? or atleast the same amount of air?

were you the one that had the guide to make an 80mm-to-60mm adaptor? if so can you tell me how? or if not can somebody tell me who did.
Yes, I was the one who made the Fan adaptor building guide.

If you have to buy snips then I think it would be cheaper to buy a fan adaptor ready made.

quick question: how did you cut teh middle hole? did u use a holesaw, or somehow with the snips or what?
