The Ultimate Rock CD

I'm trying to create the ultimate 80's rock cd. You know, hair bands and stuff. Good upbeat music. I was thinking of putting:

Poison - Every Rose Has It's Thorn
Warrant - Cherry Pie
Maybe some Journey

Any suggestions? :unsure:

Methinks Skizo needs to define the two words "rock" and "ultimate" for us...

Several people here have given me some good ideas thus far. I'm notputting things as heavy as that Slayer song, but I'm not putting things as "poppy" as say INXS. I'm looking for more of the Guns N' Roses, Motley Crew, Bon Jovi, Poison type of bands/songs.

I suppose Ratt would work, just based on what I remember about their look...I can't honestly remember any of their music.

There was that band Steve Hackett played lead for, can't remember who...and that other "Super Band", what was it...Damn Yankees, or some such.

Isn't that the thing with "Ultimate" CDs. They tend to have the obvious ones.

I go for TBABIT because it fits the guitar riff / solo(s) motif that the chap seems to be going for.

The lyricals also seem to fit the bill.
