also have you guys heard anything from om records?
check it out if you havent already om-records.com they have great 'groovy' chillout records
<3z for chillout
good music to me when im trippin but i dont listen to it very often.
oh and i completely forgot to mention the "space music" weekly 1 hour podcast
http://spacemusic.libsyn.com/
J - Walk
Check out his songs: French Letter, and Soul Vibration.
They both sound like they were made in the 70s, but then the beat gets pretty modern with crisp taps and such.
That "Get a move on" song is too good for such a crappy video. They need a jazz player who starts break dancing, or a group of mafia men going through their daily routine.Quote:

All firm favourites of mine, especially Filia Brazilia :01:
I've heard one song from Future Sound Of London (Calcium).
Hehe, I hate how chill-out is always used in that soft-core porn on HBO, Cinemax, etc. Some of my friends thought I was watching a porno when I played the music.
thanks for all the suggestions i am building quite a (chillout/ambient/downtempo/lounge/acid jazz/whatever u wanna call it!)... collection lol
If you use DC++ give me a shout some time
Filia Brazilia rocks!

I still haven't found a DJ as good as Shadow yet.
DJ Food is alright, DJ River so-so too.
Shadow is Urban Chill-out, without the rap songs. I'm not a big Rap fan, because the lyrics and beat always sounds too similar in most songs. I do appreciate any that use a unique form though, such as that Gorilla Inc song.
Yeah i hear a lot of chillout/ambient too.
I advise you these compil:
Cafe Del Mar
Ministry of Sound - Chillout Sessions
Hôtel Costes
Saint-Germain Des-Pres Cafe
I like the first song on Chillout Sessions. The one that makes you think of bubbles floating around and stuff.
Good call on Boards of Canada. I just had to put 1969 on after reading that.Quote:
