I think it's to do with the British shoot to kill policy after the subway bombings

i thought it was to do with the fact the Xmas has nothing to do with religion anymore since most people don't even know who Jesus is, and that Christmas begins so early nowadays to increase the number of Xmas shopping days, but i think the shoot to kill thing is a bit more topical

i despise the idea of giving gifts to friends and family due to the fact some bogan died more than 2000 years ago....
and it's even worse when there's non-christians doing the gift giving (and reciveing)
