Like 2 weeks ago I sort of got a promotion at work. :D
At the movie theatre, went from working the floor shifts to working projection. We had like 4 days or so training for it, and today was my first real projection shift. :)
In a month or so, I'll be bumped up completely... now I'm the guy who starts the movies. :01:
so when are you gonna start filming movies for us. :naughty:

If I want yeah, there is a lot of downtime...
You thread (prepare the movies, running the film through the projector), then you start the movies, then you do almost nothing for 2 hours, then repeat. :P
I can watch the movies through the booth window yeah. :D

Once it's official, I think it's a 25 cent raise... Not much really...
But the projectionists get longer shifts, and killer overtime. On Thurs. nights they build up movies, then screen them. When you screen movies, you watch them the night before, to make sure the print isn't scratched or anything, and they PAY you to watch the movie a day before.

I was going for projection long before that guy threatened me. I've always hated working the floor shifts, and told the managers I was interested in projection. I just wanted to get away from the public in general...

I don't know about your job, but I can tell you this, when you do get a job working with the public, your going to hate it.
Some people just plain suck. The guy VB brought up... told me he wanted to kill me or something, down in box office. :pinch:
