I typically use WMP, but I saw a skin I wanted and it was for Winamp so I downloaded it. Does Winamp use resources like this for everyone?

I dont see Firefox...Its nice you know...
No it's def your system, or Winamp. What version you running?
I'm running mine right now, and just took this image. Now and then it fluctuates from 00 - 02 but no higher. Winamp 5.111
By the way, how do you fade out / grey areas of secrecy? Looks quite nice.

try using classic skin
Turning off any visualizations help.
I figured it out. It was just the skin. Sucks b/c that's the best skin eva. There's like a million color choices for each ring (inner AND outer) and the LCD.
@n18 - FF sux imo. I've been there done that and just didn't like it. :)
@Samurai - To do the highlighting on an image is easy:
1. Open image of choice in Photoshop.
2. Grab the Rectangular Marquee Tool.
3. Outline the area you wish to have highlighted.
4. Edit > Copy (Ctrl+C).
5. Create new layer on top of original layer.
6. Edit > Paste (Ctrl+V).
7. Click once on your original layer to choose it.
8. Click on the half-white/half-black circle at the bottom of the layers palette and choose 'Brightness/Contrast'.
9. Turn the contrast down to a desired level.
Optional:
10. Right-click the top layer and choose Blending Options > Outer Glow and set to desired level.
winamp 5.111 really sucks it uses silly amounts of mem and constantly crashes on exit.

I started using1 by 1. it might look like shit but it easy to navigate all my music and has a small memory footprint.

Skins > Modern Skins > General tab. On the Timer's Resolution, experiment with what works best for you by moving the slider to the right. The farther right you move the slider, the less CPU this function will use.
None of the other settings changed anything though.
Try Foobar 2000
It sounds much better and uses less resources

That's true but it looks pretty shitty when it's turned down.:(Quote:

I just monitored mine while playing a song, and it doesn't seem to use any CPU usage. Either that's a false reading or it's really not usaing any.Quote:

not sure why its using so much cpu time though. i would do a clean install without any plugins and see if that fixes it.
blah....yer barkin up the wrong tree, dude :PQuote:
