First time for many years I didn't go to one.....too busy building a flatpack wardrobe..... :(
I didn't either. I hid behind the settee and shook, then ran the gauntlet to a pals house for some company. :fear:
You guys certainly know how to have fun! :O
Are there pay ones?Quote:

Having said that, I did see a lovely display at a funeral a year or two ago. The service was held on a beach on the evening after we'd been to the crematorium, and was topped off with this huge amazing firework display. The fireworks reflected off the sea and with the music playing and the lights and bangs, it was a perfect way to say goodbye.
Because funerals are normally quiet somber affairs, this made you smile rather than cry because it was so dramatic, noisy and mirrored the emotion of the day so much better than muffled restained sobbing would have done. It also had an element of the ridiculous to it. It was Fucking Beautiful.
Oh. I've seen plenty of fireworks but never paid.
They'll try and make you pay for everything over here if you let them...Quote:

I sat and did it the budget/lazy way, i can see for miles from my window, across nearly 180degrees, so I could see all from my bedroom.
Do you live in a lighthouse?
nope, ive got the top floor of the house therefore nice and high, and i've got two 7 foot+ wide windows, on a clear day I can actually see the lighthouse in sunderland.
Hmmm, that's no good, because it's on the non-clear days that you need to see the lighthouse... :frusty:
not when I'm in me house I don't, plus, they don't have their lights on till it's dark anyway:snooty:
How do you know for sure, if you can only see it on clear days?
i shall not be rodded:snooty:
edit: anymore than the last few posts:frusty:

In France they have fire working displays every night now......
and the award for the most overused joke of the week goes to...
I just watched my screensaver set to 'Starfield' for 15 minutes instead. It was about as interesting.
Fireworks displays
Manker must be slipping.
Not if it was the displaying of one firework, I imagine they can't afford many in Wales.
edit: and they wouldn't want to scare the sheep with too many loud noises too.
Bang!
Ain't you the one trick pony.Quote:
