British Actors Are Better At Playing Americans Than....
.............American actors are at playing Britons.
Jamie Bamber (Apollo/Lee Adama) on Battlestar Galactica and Hugh Laurie (Gregory House) on House are prime examples.
Hugh Laurie is especially good. He totally makes that show...

If the chaps on Battlestar Galactica are from a far distant planet, how in the name of feck would that make them American. Or are all goodies just assumed to be American.

Re: British Actors Are Better At Playing Americans Than....
Don't think Hugh Lawrie's trying to be american in House,is he?
t'is a fun programme though
-
Re: British Actors Are Better At Playing Americans Than....
Yea, hes meant to be from New Jeresey aint he? Well i know he is meant to be American atleast, still a good show wheather he is supposed to be American or English.

I was told by one of yer UK counterparts that he has an American accent.
For instance, Baltar is British.
If you couldn't figure that out without me saying ACCENTS then you need to sit a corner with your dunce cap on.

He just cracks me up. No one else could play that part with such quality.
I love the part when he said, "Bros before hoes, man."

No, for instance Blatar has a English accent. He isn't a British character, as your assertion 'Baltar is British' suggests - he's from Caprica.
It's all well and good you telling us that we should be able to decipher your prose but if you wrote it properly in the first place, it wouldn't be neccesary.
If you meant that English actors mimic American accents better than American actors perform English accents, you should have said so.

I know 'cause some folk are dumbfounded...
Example: Who the fuck is Blatar? I know of no such character.

Oh cool, you're editing after I've responded again.
Yeah, I know what he meant - he was being sarcastic.
You have to be a special kind of stupid not to realise that.

It's a quid in town, like.
I just imagined him to be the type who wouldn't dare go to a busy pub but sits quietly in the local sipping half a diet Tango for hours. Getting all worried, due to small stature and bitch titties, if a group of lads came in - in case they took the piss.
I'd buy him an half and give him pool money so when he got home, he could tell his Mam that someone likes him
-
Re: British Actors Are Better At Playing Americans Than....
he'd get a photy of you two with his arm round you too
-
Re: British Actors Are Better At Playing Americans Than....
It'd be a top of the range Samsung D600 camera phone 'cos he's got feck all else to spend his incapacity benefit on :dabs:
-
Re: British Actors Are Better At Playing Americans Than....
