Looks like a good board to me. :)

It is better than what i got
looks good to me as will :)
the only geeks that could say it's a shit board r idot power user
because of mayb the low fsb
whether the fsb of this board is less than great or not is dependent on the bus speed of the processor. what processor do you have?
if the fsb on the cpu is 266MHz or less, then the fsb on the board is great. if the cpu fsb is more than 266MHz, you wont be getting all the performance of the cpu
(a lot of acronyms in there, but everyone knows what they mean, i think)
For those who don't know, FSB is the Front Side Bus. Its speed determines how quickly the CPU interacts with the main memory.
it's a good one
what cpu do you have Monkey?
that's probably the most important spec which is missing here.
also, what ram do you have?
edit: stray bracket, never saw it first time around
Hey, while we're on the subject.... think you guys can tell me if my motherboard sucks?
Elite Group (ECS) P4VXASD2
your board seems pretty good for your current setup.
perhaps you would consider buying ddr ram though?
looking at your sig, you seem to take pride in your spec, however, i would say your ram is letting you down somewhat.
ddr ram isn't too expensive these days. you would only need to buy 266MHz ddr ram too, as this is the best your board supports, so you could get a large increase in performance for a minimal outlay
Yea infact I plan on buying 512 DDR. Only problem is, what am I supposed to do with my 384 SDRAM??
you could try selling it on ebay or to someone you know. but it's probably not worth a lot
if you can't sell it or give it away, just keep it in case the ddr ram goes boom one day :D
than at least you'll have a temporary solution
Well, I could try and sell it. But no one seems to be intersted in SDRAM anymore. <_<
And I don't wanna have it just lying around doing nothing at my house, I paid for my SDRAM...
just keep it in case your ddr fails
or you could build a really small house for a rat, or maybe weemouse
lol :P
:P Man your fast at replying.
it's 6:20 am where i am. if i reply, i stay awake. lol, i'm refreshing the page every half minute
i'm just going to be d now though, i was talking to a few board members through the night, so now i'm really tired
and you're pretty fast yourself
lol
edit: time changed lol
How do you er...determine the front side bus of your mobo then? :(
first off, what mobo and what cpu do you have?
if u got the manual for your board it should tell ya in there.
if it doesn't crash and it runs all of your programs at an acceptable speed, then it doesn't suck.
mostly people with a sports car mentality like to say "this board sucks" or "that board sucks" just because it doesn't overclock well or get awesome scores in videogame benchmarks. but then, most overclocking fanatics don't use their computers for anything worth mentioning, anyway.
