you have to tell us what kind of internet connection you have ;)
If you don't know your internet connection, go to http://www.dslreports.com/speedtest?more=1 and pick the location nearest to you. ;)Quote:

This has a max (unachievable) of 1.25 Mbps - guestimate would be up to around 1 Meg if there are sufficient seeds/leeches in the swarm to service this sort of speed. Never seen such speeds - from memory the best I've seen is approx 500kBps.
Actual speed is dependent on all sorts of criteria.
Go to the stickies for more info.
i think that if he have a 1 Mbps he should be up to 200 Kbps, no more than that
he should get around 400-700 KB/s from that site with so many seeders and so little leechers! less than at least 350KB/s means that something is wrong!
Its a 10Mb cable for christ sake!
Um...you guys are WAY OFF

Look @ that. And I got 3mbps DSL.
Only way to tell how fast your connection is, is doing a speed test.
yer it is, but from torrentit and there are some guys there with mad uploads there, i get max 800 but i should be able to get a bit more, but its ok i remember the dail up days and thinking 5 was good, oh how the times change

Thats just the max speed at which that particulat network connection can transfer data not the speed of the connection it access.

Your download speed : 271 kbps or 33.9 KB/sec.
Your upload speed : 62 kbps or 7.8 KB/sec.
I swear I thought I had 1MB broadband
thats worse than what you though. Thats like 365 kbps connection.
We're getting our big Ks and little ks mixed up here. Your physical download is measured in kilobits not Kilobytes so you have to divide the speed of your connection by 8 to arrive at the speed your client reports. I have 2200Ks download and 256 Ks up giving me a max of 275ks down (never seen but have recorded 225) and 32 up (can get there but 29-30 is normal)
I decided to uninstall McAfee Firewall and see if it made a difference! now I'm gettin 100kb/sec+ speeds:w00t:
weird
is it me or is that 10mb his local connection. his wan connection could be anything.
Those ain't the stats of a 10meg pipe, did you have a d/l running when you did that test? If so, shut down all other internet activity and then run a speed test and post the results on here.;)Quote:

Your download speed : 951 kbps or 118.9 KB/sec.
Your upload speed : 99 kbps or 12.4 KB/sec. :shifty:
Yep, much better, looks like mcafee was choking your connection, try kaspersky personal(not pro) a/v and zonealarm(basic free version) for your firewall(that's what I'm running and it works perfectly), see how that goes and let us know.;)Quote:
