new file trouble installing
i downloaded a program and im having trouble installing it. im not sure what information to give. i opened the file in win rar. here is what the nfo file says;
iNSTALL NOTES - ▀ ░▀
1. Mount or Burn the DVD-R
2. Run iso install and type in Serial SX3:
****************************
3. Run the update
Steinberg.Cubase.SX.v3.0.2.622.UPDATE
4. Run the patcher_cubasesx_3.0.2.623_from_622.exe
5. Run Driver_installer_SX_v3.0.2.623 ISO
6. Enjoy this long awaited release!
i opened the next file in winrar. it lead me to an iso file. i tried to open the file in alcohol 120% and i get a dialog box with this message; u need the following volume to continue. there is a browse box underneath. with a file path to a temp folder. under that it says insert a disk with this volume. or press ok to try again.
im guessing i need to burn this to dvd.
im really lost in this process and any help would be appreiated.

the install notes do say burn or mount. Doesn't alcohol 120% install a virtual drive that you can mount the image on?

yes it does i assume.

thats the message i get from alcohal. anybody ever get this message. before

Sounds like you only have part of a multi file .rar package.
What is the filename and filesize of the .rar file?

yes. get the shot you want to take and hit "print screen" then open paint and then paste it. Save as jpeg. You may have to host the pic if it's too big for attaching. http://www.imageshack.us/ is a good site.

Click the 'Go Advanced' button and scroll down to 'Imageshack Image Hosting', host the picture there and then paste the link into your post.

You need to mount the image with alcohol, simply opening it with alcohol won't do it cos it needs to be in a "drive".

ive only used alcohal once before. i opened the alcohol, then dragged in the files into its blank screen. i did the same with these and got the same message.

those all need to be extracted and then open dlm-sx3.rar and extract those files. THEN you can access the files.

Open alcohol, "expand" the virtual drive in the bottom panel, right click on the extra drive that drops down and mount the image, if it doesn't start automatically, go to My Computer and double click on the drive it's in.

I think you trying to directly open the iso using alchol but need to mount it instead. I use daemon toils for mounting my iso but if you done it successfully you should get an extra virtual drive letter in "my computer" which has the alll the files in it.

all right. let me start form the begining. i feel like a use less idiot at this point. i have 2 winrar archives, from the download, a jpeg image, and a text document which says tracked by demoid.

i will wait for a reply before posting agian. the .rar file needed a password which i have. it opened to an iso file
