Your computer, I'd say 750.
Your used PC is worth exactly as much as a buyer is willing to pay.
Unless you have a twelve-year-old neighbor of course...then, all bets are off and the sky's the limit.
Actually, there is a BlueBook for PCs, just like the one for cars.
If you have a manufactured box, post the make and model and I'll look it up for you.
If you have a clone/self-built PC refer to sentence #1.
im pretty sure if you just type some of your specifications here many people would be capable and willing to help you out.

lol guys, the 200gb harddrive is like $80, $30 for the 40gb one, $15 each for teh cddrives, $39 for the ram, $50 for processor+mobo (i'm sry celeron blows), $100 for the rest of the speakers, monitors, etc. And of course, $0 for win xp home since this is a filesharing forum
that totals to around $330 CAD.
That's about right as dell offers their entry-level system: celeron 2.8ghz with 512mb ram, monitor, speakers, and all that fun stuff for around $399 CAD.
The only thing good in there is the 200GB harddrive.
plus this is all used, so thats why i put such a low price, and that m8 told me to slap myself !
Learn for scam artists on this forum and rip off that 10 year old kid next door. Sell it to him for lots of $$$.
oh you mean the one with the dead grandma that left him grands? lol

Here in Tijuana Mexico, and considering its used, $250 Dlls would be the reasonable price, but just because of the big hard drives,
it could go even for $350 Dlls.
I sold my last PC for that price,
and it only had one 80GB HD. And I might add that people where almos fighting
over it; damn I loved that machine.
Plus his is canadian dollars and yours is probably US, making them about equal.:unsure:Quote:

Figure maybe $150 tops.
C'est la vie.
yeah 200-300 USDs would be what it's worth.... vid card probably sucks ass.
tree fidy
with is about 150 US
ill pay 150 for your computer!
Are you certain you don't want what's behind Curtain #2 instead?
Could be a BRAND NEW CAR!
no one can give u a exact estimate. ur computer's value depreciates all the time.
go to your buyers (like ebay), and find out the current price's for the parts in your computer.
You don't sell a used assembly (like a PC) based on the price of the individual parts...it's priced as a whole.Quote:

If PhEl has all the software discs that is a plus...many used machines lack software and MS's PID, which leaves the new owner up the creek should Windows fail.
That PC would be priced around $125 in our shop and we'd be happy to dicker down to $100 just to kick it out the door. Naturally, that assumes that it was "donated" to begin with (all of our refurb machines are) and we have no money tied up in it.
We wouldn't offer anything if he just walked in and tried to straight sell it to us.

It's used.
He lost 50% of it's value the second he walked out of the store.
Life's a biatch.
yep. just like how cars loose 20% the second u get it from the dealer
i'd recommend u sell your computer piece by piece. not everyone wants to buy the whole computer
Well... That's the way it works for a retail store. They're only purpose to be in business is to make profits.
This PC, on the other hand, is a private sale. The seller can decide what he wants for it and try to sell it. If the buyer is willing to pay what he wants then that's what it's worth.
Very true.Quote:

Typically, my experience is that the older, cheap PCs require waaay more of our time than the profit justifies.
People who can't/won't spend the dosh to acquire a decent machine still expect them to do everything that a more expensive PC will (after all, a "computer is a computer", right?) and harrass us to death trying to flog a Win 98 machine into performing like a real 'puter.
Don't believe me?
Go ahead, try to hook your iPod to an old POS and see what happens.
No need to explain it to me clocker. I see the same thing.
lol...talking about old comps, I'm at a friend's house and wow, did he get ripped off badly...
He bought a pIII 800mhz, 128mb ram, and some sis 4mb video card, for $499 CAD. Bull. I told him he got ripped off, and these are his exact word, "I got ripped off? But it's an IBM machine!" ...I couldnt say much after that:P
He has like 48 processes running, and 20 of them are like useless. I ran Spybot on the comp, and over 300 spyware entries were found:pinch:
Ah comp noobs, what can you do...
Shoot them.Quote:
