ummm my choices for music are
winamp
windows meida
realplayer one
movies
k-lite <---
realplayer
winamp
windows media
they are all decent... all of them you can full screen.... window media just seems to be a bit more confusing... real player has those pop up things for me... so i tend not to like to open it....
i need to know what i should use for my default media player to play all file formats.
bs player is very good...
whats bs player?
between windows media player, real one player, and win amp 3 which should i use?
i use winamp3 for music and zoomplayer to watch movies
bs comes with the K-Lite Codec Packs...its very good
does win amp play movies well?
or should i use realone for movies?
real one wont play all movies though....like divx movies have the divx codec you need the Divx player....the easiest thing to do is get a player that plays almost everything or dl all of the codecs
so what should i use for everything??????
i need an answer lol
anyone? does win amp play video at all? what should i use for everything?
Video:
DivX player
Windows media player
klite player
music:
windows media player
DON'T USE REALPLAYER!
Spyware! :(
Zoomplayer! Plays all movies (exept quicktime I think) and even plays MP3's! (I use Winamp for that though)
No, Winamp does not support video files (.mpg, .mov etc), but it is a top-notch music player none the less. I recomend it over all other music players.
Windows Media player is a good movie player, the downsides are its large file size and just the whole 'Microsoft' thing.
MediaCenter 9.0. Great for music and it supports video and Tivo (although I don't use either function so I can't really comment on it). The library tools are great for organizing, tagging, making playlists, storing cover art. It also can rip and burn Supports almost all audio formats (including ogg). There is a media server function, an audio analyzer, an audio editor, a label maker, skins, mini player, etc. It's not freeware but well worth a try.
BSplayer is great, plays MP3 aswell
real player sucks
WMP has some problems with some DIVX codecs
winamp is nice
i use winamp for all my media, winamp 2.9 plays videos aswell. better than crappy media palyer.
For Videos such as Mpeg, Avi, WMV.
I use the old version of windows media player. It's simple, uncomplicated and right to the point, with easy options. You can access this by going to Start>Run>Type in mplayer2. I usually set this to be the default player for all my video files.
For Videos MOVs
No choice but to use Quicktime although I hate the quick pictures that appear everytime you initiate Quicktime, it doesn't happen to be "Quick" afterall, with all the crazy lag.
For mp3s, Music Files
Winamp 3 all the way! With MMD 3 Skin!
Sometimes I use AviPreview to see my video files too, mebbe because of the habitual previewing while downloading files thru klite :D .
BTW, Livy, I get so much Runtime Errors visiting your Monkey Website ;) .
hmmm, of i go to investigate. i dont like winamp 3, far to slow, looks nice with mmd3 skin though.Quote:

You can play Quicktime movies with the Quicktime codec set and the old Windows media player ( included).
ftp://ftp.komputery.wp.pl/pub/Multimedia/...ktimealt100.exe

Use the Old Media Player. Found in c:\program files\windows media player\media player 2
It loads a lot faster and uses less system resources! :D
I recommend The Core Media Player (it used to be known as PowerDivx) - http://corecoded.com .
Of course, I'm on the team... :) As a matter of fact, we are so anti-spyware, not only do we refuse to use it in our player, but we even have a spyware DETECTOR on our website :) (only works ine IE - need to have the ActiveX security flaw (ActiveX itself _is_ a security flaw) in order to use it) :)
Have a feature you want? Request it.
Windows media player uses 30.000 kb without playing music
Winamp uses 3.000 kb without playing music
Do the math and you know what to use. ;)
lol no spyware for me... no internet on my computer :).... lol... all those registering stuff tho...Quote:
