USA are ranked 7th in the world whereas Norway are ranked 37th. So not that unexpected.Quote:

Those guys must feel pretty bad.
I'd say it's a big shock. Ole couldn't have been playing :snooty:
Wales (84th in world) went there and only lost 1-0 a couple of years ago. Plus the US play in the CONCACAF and Norway play in Europe so their world rankings should be closer than it is. Norway have been fairly shite recently, however.
Can't find a match report on the BBC website :dabs:
I suspect Norway were trying to blood a few youngsters and didn't have anything like their proper team out. USA were also experimenting. Norway are hardly mentioned in the (American) news reports I'm finding.
I can't find out anything else because my fucking head will explode if I read another football write-up penned by an American journalist.
You're not suggesting the FIFA world rankings are pish are you?:OQuote:

I have to suggest that - how else could I explain Wales being down there in the 80s :(
If Wales moved to CONCACAF and they'd soon be in the top ten :dabs:
Team USA manager, Bruce Arena, says 'Yeah, Twellman scored a hat-trick today and sometimes, goals are how you grade a striker'
Sometimes
Im suprised he didn't say touchdowns to be honest. Those yanks were never any good withwordsanything.
Is 'Wales' a country?

RIF.
:O !!! China's ranked 61st by FIFA...WOW, with 1.3 billion population, they can't put together a 13-15 players team that's actually any good at soccer...SAD how countries like Iraq and Zimbabwe are ahead of China in soccer:O :pinch:
That's why I said those yanks. :dabs:Quote:

I can't think of another way a striker would be graded either besides maybe an assist. I think the fella knows his job.
Where are the world rankings for the soccer teams anyway?
What website loike?
I think that 14-year old, Freddie Adu is on the US team.
He was called up to the squad for the friendlies before xmas but the US obviously haven't named their squad for the World Cup yet.
World rankings are on the BBC site.
wtf...they can't be seriously letting a grade 9ner play world cup soccer... Sure he's got talent, but he's gonna get his ass raped to 50cm in diameter on the soccer field...Quote:

Cool. I've watched Freddie on occasion in a DC United match. I thought he was 14 when he went pro. I forgot how much time passed.Quote:
