Though to add a poll to this to see whats more popular. Would think there are more Nero users being a more popular app and it has many features suchg as encoding although I think when it comes to writing images Alcohol 120% is better. Also it has differnt featuers that Nero dosent such as mounting images...
Reality is right!
At burning images Alcohol is faster and better!
However if you are planning to buckup file and apparently you are i would say nero!
A lot more features and besides this is why nero is here for!
Unlike alcohol which is mainly use to mount images or burn them or create them.
I have both
I also use both as well as others.
I used to use both, but I only use nero now.
I don't like the way alchol messes with your drives even after uninstalling I still had the dreaded " F " drive . But in truth I found a few images that only worked with Alcohol 120 .
I've been having tons of failed burns with Nero lately. I've wasted like eight CD's.

Nero B1TCH!!!!!
both
I use both (Nero 6 not 7.. 7 is too buggy).
ImgBurn (from the dude who brought you DVDDecryptor) is also another nice burner software. Supports a shitload of files types and is really good for burning duel layer disks.
Alcohol 120% is better at what it can do, but there's a lot of things it cant do so for those I need Nero.
I use both nero for movies, and ligit games and stuff, and alcohol 120% for images to dvds
no option for both on the poll- not voting untill I have some where to vote.
I use alcohol for anything involving Images (unless I am just burning several cd images to a dvd to back up my hard drive) I use nero to burn data dvds for backing up my harddrive. In fact, currently burning install disks in alcohol, just got done backing up movies to dvds in nero.
I also have damon tools for those images that only work on damon tools- lots of mini ISOs for games.
thanks for the feedbak
