I have a question about a movie I recently have download!
Hy guys,
I have a question, I downloaded this movie a few days ago, I even downloaded it twice from different sources.
But non of these will open. I can unpack the .rar files, that's not the problem, but the file that I get after unpacking the .rar files, has a unknown extention, I can not open it. type: XVID-DIAMOND file??
can anyone help me with this?
thx in advance
grtz

Re: I have a question about a movie I recently have download!
Check the NFO. Maybe you need to change the file extension to AVI or something.

nope. can't play it. I tried lan player, and I als tried to put .avi after my file. It all just don't work.
Re: I have a question about a movie I recently have download!
change your windows settings so you can see the extentions of the files then check if the extention is .avi.
do you have any codecs installed?
Re: I have a question about a movie I recently have download!
Do you have the XviD codecs installed? It clearly says XviD in the title.

Re: I have a question about a movie I recently have download!
install K-mega code it's da best can play all movies extentions
Re: I have a question about a movie I recently have download!
it's entirely possible that you've ended up with an image file.
it may have a .iso, .bin or .nrg file extension.
if that's the case, just mount it in an image drive or burn the image to DVD for playback in your home player.
btw, giving us the file extension would have gotten you an absolute answer 5 posts ago.

Download the standard version. Thats all you need and open it up with any player and it should work.
Also I checked some torrent sites and found the NFO and the file is an avi file. So all you need is the codec.

It sounds like you need to change the extension to .avi format as stated before. Last time I checked no player, even the holy VLC player can play a -DIAMOND format:blink:. As stated above check the .nfo file to see if anything is said about this, and if not maybe just try typing in .avi after the whole thing and maybe it'll take, let us know.
Re: I have a question about a movie I recently have download!
change the extension to avi
Re: I have a question about a movie I recently have download!
I've downloaded this and it unpacks to a .avi file, try installing the klite codec pack.

media player classic rocks, I never use anything else.
Re: I have a question about a movie I recently have download!
right click on the file and choose properties, what is the extension?
