My movie (and the competition)
Quote:
For those of you outside this module… the following streaming links are to 3-5 minute long films, an exercise that Engl 233 students do in a very compressed time. Students have roughly 4 hours to shoot footage, edit the rushes, and produce a reasonable product… the remit includes a setting limited to the Plymouth campus (or thereabouts) and the idea that a ‘found’ cell phone should be involved.
My film: http://video.plymouth.ac.uk/eresourc...ded_100306.wmv

Is it asking you for a password? :(
-
Re: My movie (and the competition)
Needs a password here too.
-
Re: My movie (and the competition)
For the other groups' it asks for the password.
For your one it just gives me a great big homosexual blank page, not sure what that means

It might just be JANET being a big lesbian. Upload it to Youtube, please?
-
Re: My movie (and the competition)
I posted the password on The Moderation's hidden forum so at least some people can view the videos.
-
Re: My movie (and the competition)
I can see all of them from here....
I like yours, apart from the unlikely accent of your "tramp" and the fact that you made that poor boy sit on the bins in the bus station.
I got bored with the second one. I did like "walk in the park" though, despite the absence of dialogue. Did everyone use that little park next to the uni though?

Yeah, I can't get into any of them, it must be the big homosexual University network thing.
-
Re: My movie (and the competition)
I'm not on the university network though and I can see all of them.
-
Re: My movie (and the competition)
I meant my university thinks your university is a ghey, so it's acting like a ghey.

Re: My movie (and the competition)
Far too many references to homosexuality in this thread. I blame the one titled Brokeback Cell Phone.

Re: My movie (and the competition)
Have you tried turning your computer on and off again. In addition, make sure your computer is plugged in and the monitor switched on.
Also, clear your cache.

Re: My movie (and the competition)
The one with the dead baby crawling round on the ceiling was a bit disturbing,I liked the one with the stalker in,bit O.T.T with the violence at the end though.
The one with the giant radioactive lizard in is very good, and I really liked the one where the students got got kidnapped and tortured at the youth hostel, really excellent.

Yeah, my man reading a book film kind of pales next to those epics. :(

Re: My movie (and the competition)
My top 3: (sorry cheese, although I did like the speeded up bit :01: )
3rd: Group 5 - A Walk in the Park
2nd: Group 6 - Discarded
1st: Group 4 - Out of Order
One that sucked the mostest:
Group 7 - The Object
-
Re: My movie (and the competition)
They filmed Out of Order in my local. :01:
-
Re: My movie (and the competition)
I liked what ya did in your film, thought it was out of order what you did to the book in the end
-
Re: My movie (and the competition)
The fact that I haven't got speakers here might have influenced my decision. I had to go for the one that was most visually appealing.
Out of Order had the hawtest chicks, and some of it was filmed in a ladies toilet :w00t:

My audio would have won you over.
Yeah, I was also pretty excited to see the inside of the ladies toilets in my local. They have sinks, how posh is that?
-
Re: My movie (and the competition)
Sinks that nobody has pissed in ftw :01:

I thought that was a bloke washing blood off his hands where he'd beaten up the owner of the phone that the two birds were ringing and slagging off, sounds like a bloke when he orders a vodka!!

On my favorite table no-less.
Do you think they chose it because that's their idea of a "rough" pub?

I think she's Romanian or Irish or something. Some foreign country.

Re: My movie (and the competition)
I liked the 'newchurch' one the best, followed closely by 'outoforder' and Chebus, yours was third.
My attention span waned a bit toward the end of the first vid and I started playing solitaire - so my choices are based mainly on the audio (Peaches, FTW!) and the bits and bobs I saw.
Plus points for the line 'Cellphones can't talk, they just can't ... they can ring until the day is ... uhh ... blue, but they can't talk'. I had to shut the last one off - that annoying ethnic bloke with Keith Miller needs a slap :dabs:
-
Re: My movie (and the competition)
Did you notice I completely ignored the instruction to use a mobile phone as a plot device? Complete luddite me.
-
Re: My movie (and the competition)
To watch Chebus' video without sound is a satanic crime.
-
Re: My movie (and the competition)
Both tracks are by Modest Mouse (World at Large and Bukowski).
