Zinedine Zidane.
Even though BawA has played a blinder throughout the coppa mondial, I too will have to choose ZiZou.
I thought VB had already won. ;)
Zidane, except for the first game, where France were shite.
Second choice would be Cannavaro, because he's a rock and, according to the commentators, very 'springy'.
definitively cannavaro he can stop even the fastest players in every team.
and where are the rest of the world, uve just added only Europian teams
there are many others who can win Golden Ball, anyway i think Zidane deserves more comparing his age to others Big shots.
No there aren't.Quote:

ffs sake bawa, those are the official FIFA nominees.

to be honest, if all 4 semi-finalists is european, it stands to reason that the player of the tournament is going to be european :frusty:
huh?
its out already, wtf
ill still say same thing, few others deserve the title more then some listed nominess.
FIFA = Racist
BawA ftw
Like who :blink:Quote:

BawA, would it not be best just to post things in your head, and not on the board.
Actually, Riquelme played outstandingly well in all of his games and could maybe appear on the list instead of Ballack - who, for me, has been disappointing and is probably there on reputation alone.
However, there is no way he should be winning the thing ahead of the other nominees.
Ballack was good against Argentina, but Ruquelme was probably better overall, except against Mexico, but it wasn't his job to defend.
Lehmann has had an outstanding tournament so far. Buffon hasn't really had much to do, can't really see why he can be considered for the Golden Balls.
:frusty: I should've voted for bawa
Just remember that the Cup hasn't ended yet...
If Zinedine Yazid Zidane plays well the Final, then he'll win hands down lol
Vieira has had a good tournament. He's been fairly solid alongside Makelele, and he strides forwards to support the attack. He's scored a couple too.
But, nobody ever appreciates defensive players
Oliver Kahn won it last time :dabs:Quote:

nvm
Viera hasn't got the plaudits he has deserved this world cup, so if Zidane has a solid showing in the final he will get the nod.
How come Grosso isn't in the top 10...if it wasnt for him Italy would never of made the final...before you jump down my throat im speaking about the goal against Germany =p *not really* =p

Which is quite sad, in a funny as fuck way.
Zizu, ftw.
You know, Zidane probably will win the Golden Ball but I think unless he's the best player on the pitch by a mile in the final, he won't have deserved it.
The first two group games, where France had ignominious 0-0 and 1-1 draws against modest opponents, Zidane was anonymous, he was suspended for the Togo game. Against Spain and Brazil he was fantastic but in the semi final, he wasn't in the game much.
Three out of seven games as the best player on the park would maybe get him in contention for the award, becuase he is a special player, but if he fails to perform in the final, I don't think he should win it.
Cannavaro has been magnificent in every game.
Nah, even if he doesn't play in the final he should still get it. You're wrong because you disagree with me.
I knew you'd go with Zidane because you're a fluffy romanticist.Darn, I forgot about the 'dodgy368' rule of footie arguments.Quote:

Your h4r5hness really is getting out of control, first that poor Kentish lad and now this
Nah, I just think he'll get it for Hollywood porpoises.
Retires from International soccerball and is convinced to come back. Retires from Real, giving up puntsphere entirely but still plays in the World Cup, for his Country. Team starts pish but thro' him playing well and scoring the pen in the semi-final they get to the final.
They win it, he picks up the cup and gets player of the Universe prize.
It's a must see.

Convinced by an apparition, no less. Personally I reckon it was that Paul O'Grady-looking French manager dressed up in a bedsheet..Quote:

Of course if he has a mare in the final that will count against him.
Why is Bawa upset about us rooting for an Algerian?
Rooney was my outside choice :whistling
You're not allowed to post here, you know what you are talking about and watch soccerball on a regular basis. Spammer.Quote:

While Zidane has been good in a few matches Cannavaro has been a rock for italy in every match for sure. If Italy win i can see him getting it for sure, however if France win, Zizu will get it for sure :MarcelDesailly:
I find myself agreeing with Marcel Desailly via the gift of Peerzy.
What if Terry Hendry scores 9 in the final.Quote:
