dont download so much that its hard to upload the same amount back.
make sure ur "clever" or "coonectable". the tracker ur using often tells u this.
use a decent bittorrent client, some actually seed better than others. i recommend utorrent.
I've done this a few times on sites where there's wait times.
Find something (anything) that has plenty of leechers and is fairly large and is rar'd. Deselect most of the rar files and only download enough totalling say 100MB. Worked for me every time.
I would try downloading part of a series as you will find there is alot peers. Other than that just download a popular torrent as soon as it is realeased. Choosing one from a popular uploader helps too.
I find the easist way to keep a good ratio it to make sure you grab a reallly popular torrent as soon as it is upped and leave it going as long as possible.
I suggest you download at 30KB/s and seed at that too. I used to do this so even if there werent enough leechers it wouldnt matter becasue my ratio would still be 1:1. I would then stop it lol.

The most difficult would be trackers with waiting time.
In those, i just got big torrents with only 1 or 2 seed's and lot's of peers at around 30 or 40% completion.
That way, my ratio would reach near 1:1, and waiting time would no longer exist

well...be on the lookout for some highly expected brand new game or movie and download it and then seed it for as long as u can...or download porn coz it's a upload booster
apart from all of the above, another one i use is to grab something i want on a public tracker that is also shared on the private site in question. I then just download the torrent file from the private site and point it to the files already downlaoded from the public torrent and seed. I also do this between private sites.
I do the same with stuff downloaded from newsgroups.
Most of the sites notested that and now the wait time is for both down/up.Quote:

A good thing to do is make sure you're "clever". That's a fancy word for using port forwarding. If you use port forwarding you can connect to all the leechers without them being blocked by your router or modem.

If you have it set up right all the leechers will be able to connect to you and you'll have more people downloading off you and upping your ratio.

Oh and also you can download from another tracker and then just seed fully on the tracker you want your ratio to increase on.
1.If you recieved an invite for that site, your invitee will get in trouble, and you will never recieve another invite from him.
2.If the site is specialized in a niche interest good luck finding good material in a public tracker.
3.If you hate sharing so much stay in the public trackers, no one cares how much you share.
