What a cutie , I love puppies got a friend for life there .
Cute. :D
Aaawwww.
I remember my dog when she was a fat little puppy. Don't worry j2, she'll grow out of it fast enough and you'll wish she was a fat little puppy again. :P
:shuriken:
That is a great looking puppy!
Here's what mine grew into. :P

:shuriken:
LOL
Nah, she was a shepherd pup. My cousin had the golden.
:shuriken:
I'll add my "AWWWW" as well.
she'd be tasty on a roll with tomato sauce.
She's gorgeous!
Would.
That is the cutest thing ever!
Is it really soft and cuddly??
I grew up with a golden retriever.....
Might be.
Dogs are the new humans, really.
Yeah, she really is; hugs and kisses abound. :)
She's really sharp.
Her behavior is really coming around, too; they get so lonesome when you take them away from the litter, and we both work...usually their demands for attention are overwhelming, but I come home, let her out to do her biz, then we play a bit and she settles down right away-already starting to do the "pals"-type stuff.
She's sleeping on my toes right now.
Oddly, it seems the cats are pretty good sitters for her.
We have one female who kinda wants to mother her, but ends up being a disciplinarian, for the most part.
SnnY
The real advantage is that the pup doesn't shit on the carpet and shag the Vicar's leg when he comes a callin'.
You've got a point there :/
That's not saying the Vicar doesn't like it. It's just rude not to ask.
I'm gratified the vicar doesn't know where I live.
Anyhoo, Goldens stay pretty puppyish all their lives.
We may have had a brea***hrough with the house-breaking already; the missus read on t'web that standard paper-training technique is passe, and after the first couple of days you should pick them up to cement the idea of doing things outside more quickly, so she got rid of the papers two days ago.
Accident-free since then. ;)
When I trained our dog it was dead easy. I picked a code word and taught her that. Then, after food I took her outside and taught her the code word meant "have a crap". After food they can basically crap at will so it's no bother to just take her outside, tell her to do the needfull and that's it, job done.
All this newspaper thing is little short of anthropomorphizing. It's a tame wolf ffs, it wants to know it's place in the pack. It's happier that way. So tell it what to do. Let it know you are the pack leader, then other humans, then it. The dog really will be happier that way. It will also protect your home because that will make it feel that it is contributing to the welfare of it's pack.
True story
I introduced myself as the alpha male at the outset; no worries there.
Her heel is already developing; I've had her out for a couple of mile-long walks already-she only has to rest for a minute or two on the up-hill (it's a pretty good grade).
It was actually kind of funny-I got the impression some of the drivers going by us thought I had one of those gimmick empty leashes, the way the had to look down to see there was a real dog, she's still so tiny.
The "code-word-for-crap" is a solid idea, though.
Consistancy is the watchword.
Don't you think "consistancy" is a bit of a long word for a pup?
:shuriken:
If she were mine I'd just sit and admire her for hours coz she's so cute. I'm not a very girly girl but she makes me want to go and buy Barbie-doll products and pink fluff.
This is my tiny manx cat. She's fully grown but so small its untrue.

In 98% out of ten, people with cats are gay. Fact.
Hehe, my poor cat. He's a barn cat through and through...the only part of his parentage we're sure of is Siamese from his dad's side. Must be doing something right though; he's 15 and healthy as a horse. :PQuote:

Aww,
I LOVE cats
I have 3 of them myself.
2 tortoise shell coloured ones that are ex-feral. They're grown up now but they're still tiny
And one huge black and white fluffy one. Her name is Jess because she looks exactly like the cat from Postman Pat
Jess bullies the other two though :(
