Ac/dc

If I used a 12v AC adapter from a battery charger on a keyboard that has a 12v mains input, would this have any foreseen consequences, specifically the negative kind?

You need to know what polarity the keyboard requires and make sure it's the same as the power pack. Also you must make sure the Amperage is the same.
Check the sticker on the back of the keyboard for power requirements and then match it to the pack.

That sounds like it involves reading and slight thinking. I'm just gonna stick it in and whack the power on.
