there are no "public" pre-channels
yeah no public ones for a reason.
and pre channels are for the fxp scene
we are here at the torrent scene

u will never find a public pre channel
i know a certain tracker that has one for it's users:whistling
I know of a few private trackers that run them for their users as well.

There's really no point in a user with no axx to have prechan axx. If you see something pre, you can't really do anything about it. Just watch the sites you are on to see if they uploaded it. With that, you have the option of snatching the file as opposed to see something pre and still wait to see if it's even uploaded or not.
yes there are public pre channels,lots of them on irc although they usually dont last long but 1 can easly find them.
this notice came out 2 days ago: Public.PreAnnounce.Channel.Efnet-iND
and those notices are always popping out.
i would post the channel but nah they shouldnt be public and torrent sites shouldnt have them either imo. because if they are real uploaders then they are already on a "site" that has all the info they need.
thats just pre spam :P
good torrent sites have theirs own pre channels, if u wanna now about what sites i;m taking about just see any decent top10 trackers list.

You can create a account and just keep tabs on the info you want. Like Xbox, Games etc. Its not as fast as a Pre bot but if you just want to be informed throughout the day of whats available, this sites pretty good.

and the easiest way to do that is just to idle at several pre channels and offer some scenres who r they some realy good deal, otherwise it's just a waste of time ( read. if u have nothing to offer just stay at a torrent level)
i could set up a temp. pre-chan which only echoes pre's and no searching -AND- another channel where it tracks over 40+ RSS feeds of various sites. let me know if you guys are interested...
