but ... trying to be objective/reasonable, they are very alike
i have great speeds on both, but i think on TL there are more peers or active seeds... it depends on the torrent :D
also the pretimes ar almost the same
TL is very good when it comes to no. of peers. I get very good speeds on new releases....
But in case if you are interetsed in old classics I think they are less on TL...
I am not member of Iplay but heeard from few that they have good collections of DVDrips and DVDRs.. ( latest rlses as well as other Internal releases) ..
So if u get a chance to get IPLay don't let it go..
we respect TL we had a lot to learn from them and we don't want to make (consider) them like an "opponent". iplay at the begining was for ro people only but seems that our users don't know how to keep a "low profile" so here we are...

For me the more peers the better. In this way you can download at very high speeds but also you can upload anytime because there are always leechers.
I have joined many similar (all around) sites like TL but TL gives me almost always faster downloads and always some leechers in order to give back.
The only thing missing from TL is personal rips.

TorrentLeech is indeed a great tracker... and we @ iPLAY had a lot of things to learn and see from what happened over there, but we've grown strong and wise over time, and i'm sure, that these two trackers don't need competition between them... a good coexistence is the key for the user's happyness.. am i right?
Yep, they are both pretty similar. But both are unique. TL has some interesting int stuff (PPC/PSP megapacks, "memories" project, top250 iMDB dvdr), while iplay also has stuff like that (more int dvdr's, a music video section)
There is no competition between iPlay and TL...and now on topic:iPlay :)
cant say i have used iplay... but i am in love with TL its amazing site... and some of the fastest downloads i have ever seen. :P
Each site has its own thing. TL focuses on scene release as we all know and iplay focuses on... you get the picture. No site is better than another. There will never be a site that can offer everything and there will never be 2 or more sites that are EXACTLY the same, so quite comparing apples to oranges.
I have never heard of iPLAY on any of the top bt sites boards other than here. How old is iPLAY and around how many members do they have? I guess I can't compare the two but TL is one of the oldest top 0-min/0-day scene only release bt communities out there today. Compared to other sites that I use, its my number 3 or 4.
I love IPLAY. It's a great site. But I have been a member of TL for a lot longer and have gotten spoiled on the speed and the fact that they have most releases I'm looking for. Like Ithanium said, coexisting is the key. Being diversified in the sites you are members to is important.

I'll have to say TL, the speeds I get there are simply awesome, if not maxing out my whole bandwidth.
u can't really compare a site where everyone has an account with a more private site like iPLAY although it recently had open signup for a day or 2 there are many ppl that don't have an account there or never heard of it...it's a pointless comparison kinda like TL-FL
and from both sites i download with maximum speeds for iPLAY with 5-10 MB/S and from TL around 200 k...so it's understandable why i prefer the first one:whistling

They complement each other, and they are very similar.
What are the wait times for iPlay? (As in, if you don't have x GB uploaded and x ratio, then you have to wait x hours before downloading a new torrent)
