my 1st ever download...what do i do now?!?!

Hi,

I downloaded my first ever game from bittorrent (football manager 2007).

Its 100% downloaded, i found the folder it saved in, but its not a zip file. When i open the file,theres a lot of files that haave no file type, starting from rzr-fm07.001 file to rzr-07.039 and there is a .sfv file and a msinfo document. The msinfo document is the only one recognised, but it wont do anything if i click it

Non of the files are recognised y my pc as a valid file.

Any suggestions? it took me ages to download all the 800mb of it, and i wanna use it!

You need to get winrar or somthing similar then you will be able to extract the content of those files.

i downloaded quickzip4 earlier, that unzips rar files i think. But when i open the file (which isnt a zip file) it doesnt see any files in the folder....

winrar will extract those files into an image file.
then u use nero for burning or daemon-tools to create a virtual cd-rom
u have instructions in the info file inside the download foldier

Ok, now winrar is extracting the files. I want to run it, not burn it to a cd. So, next question is about this "demon tools" you mentioned....what is that?!?

I thought i was quite clued up on computer things.. i went to daemon tools website, but i dont understand what it says!

Next problem. I mount the cd thingy, i manage to install the complete game, hell, i even uts a nice shortcu on my desktop.


when i run the game it says i need to insert the cd to continue the game (i read on the readme file from the game that for copyright purposes, the disc needs inserting everytime).

Any ideas what i do now. I've checked the image is still mounted...?

u should have a crack in the cd
overwrite it over u'r exe in the install dir

not sure on that game but if you look in the mounted dvd file you probably should see a folder labeled crack and in that folder find a .exe that you copy to the directory were the game is installed which most of the time is C:\programfiles\name of game

4. Copy crack from /Razor1911 dir to your install path

yeah, on the drive daemontools created, i have a application file (about 11mb). I copy this to where? Just anywhere in the downloaded folder, or somewhere specific?

i told u in pm, u need to copy the exe file inside that razor1911 dir in the virtual cd (which has the same name as the exe file in the installation dir) and copy it into u'r installation dir and overwrite.

The link that {I}{K}{E} gave you mentions nfo, but I prefer to use "DamnNFO Viewer" to open the .nfo file. Google will give you the right program first.
