well, the reason i ask is a friend of mine sent me an invite but i just went and signed up and got an account and was never asked for my invite code. i feel let down, i thought i was special for a second.
No need to hurry, signups opens every weekend or fridays.
No need to hurry anyways. That sites not so great anyways. Alot of their torrents posted can be found off mininova or TPB anyways.
The funny thing is, every torrent I dl from public trackers like mini or tpb in rar has "This file is downloaded from Demonoid.com" :))

demonoid isnt the fastest tracker in the world... but everytime I cant find something I go to demonoid and usually find it

you guys refer to trackers...what are trackers and what is the difference between public and private?
Demonoid is one of my fav.'s but I'm looking for software more than movies .
My favorite for application is demonoid too.
Trackers are sites that index and monitor the seed/peer activites of a torrent.. Private trackers require a signup and impose upload/download ratio restrictions, while public trackers dont have such formalities :)Quote:

Simply put, if there is a point in time if your ratio is deemed inexcusably low, you will be warned--and on repeated offense or in extreme cases, banned. This applies even if you are diligently seeding, so if you have a slow upload rate, you will need to be careful with the rate you download. If you are careful and use your sense, you should be fine. Demonoid seems pretty lenient.Quote:

anyone can load a .torrent file from demonoid into their client and download it. I would consider that a public tracker.
