i like TL, ive got pretty much all sites but tl was my first private site.
i really hope someone just hacked it and its just a fake.

TL is not, I repeat, is NOT shutting down. Apparently it was a hacker trying to mess up torrenleech (people will read the message and leech like madmen). I got confirmation by TL's IRC.
Spread the good news guys, to prevent to some extent the mass leeching.

seems like the hackers have stolen some passwords, so if anyone uses the same username and password from torrentleech on other sites i would suggest changing them just as a precaution

They are encrypted. But theres are a few ways around that if theses some errors in the scripting.
The site was hacked by the same person thats been trying to hack alot of other sites.
In a way its good though cause he ussually shows the coders what needs to be fixed when we check our logs. ;) So in the long run hes just making the sites more secure.
