Re: x264 hd codec software
media player classic or/and VLC from videolan.
Re: x264 hd codec software
Re: x264 hd codec software
CoreAVC is definitely the best you could also try PowerDVD with HW acceleration.
Re: x264 hd codec software
CoreAVC should work for 720p
Re: x264 hd codec software
coreAVC is the best for older computers. I find that powerDVD needs a little bit more power (unless your video card supports HD).
Re: x264 hd codec software
Closing unneeded programs help too.
Re: x264 hd codec software
coreavc+MPC is my advice to you

Re: x264 hd codec software
stupid question and by no means trying to thread jack, is there any way to burn a x264 rip to play on a dvd player?
Re: x264 hd codec software
Re: x264 hd codec software
coreAVC is better than ffdshow for old computers
Re: x264 hd codec software
forget all those other codecs, try combined community codec pack (CCCP) you will never go back. make sure you uninstall EVERY OTHER CODEC OR PACK YOU HAVE before you install though. use it. love it.

Only if you convert it to dvd. The dvd players can't play mkv. Try convertXtoDVD
