Well, ratios are just ratios, right? Doesn't kill you to have one below 1, and doesn't make you superior to have one above 10. Divide the numerator by the denominator; upload more than you download: no biggie.

the problem these days concerns everyone being able to donate to boost their ratio at sites. how are you supposed to know they actually earned their ratio, rather than paying for it?
