Member Reputation [BT Rep]

Reputation Basics

• Points are ONLY given by members with invite access.
• Reputation points given are ONLY positive points.
• You can ONLY give each member ONE point.
• You can ONLY give 5 points each day.

Giving A Point To A Member

• Points can be given to those who give free invites.
• Points can be given to those you make trades with.
• DO NOT demand rep points when giving free invites.
• To give a point click the icon http://img641.imageshack.us/img641/1236/giverep.png to the left of a post.

• Fill in comments if you want and click "Add BT Rep".

To View Members Reputation

• There will be a BT Rep from +1 to +100 below member names.
• For every +5 points a http://filesharingtalk.com/vb3/image...tation_pos.gif will show below the BT Rep.
• After 25 points rep will increase in sets 5 points.
  (members without rep will not show anything.)

• For details click members name and then "View Profile".

This rating is to give members confidence when dealing with others.

If you get messages to trade points copy and Report them.
Those found abusing the Reputation system will have access
to the invites section REMOVED or be BANNED from the site.

Im not quite sure how this works. Is it if you trade with someone you go to the icon and give them a point?

Yeah, after a successful trade you click on that persons scales and you add your comment and it automatically adds 1 to their total http://filesharingtalk.com/vb3/../im...lies/smile.gif

Great idea, once some of the things get ironed out. As for giving bad or minus rep points mods and admins should be the ones to have this privilage. If a user wants to give some bad points then they will have to fill out a report, and have the higher ups do it.

Does this mean the trusted traders list will no longer be updated?

I just started to get a couple points on there the past few days, which have yet to be counted.

Update
There will be a Trading Rep rank from +1 to +25 below member names.
(members without a rank will not show anything.)

Regarding the current list it may be updated up to post 1000 at the most and will be unpinned shortly. If you want your points back just contact the members who gave them to you and have them do it with the new setup. To find who gave you points open the Trusted Traders thread and click Search This Thread and type in your member name and click Go and you will get a list. Fact is that list is getting big and requires maintence that is going to be done automatically now.

Regarding the new setup were looking for some input...

Should long term members be allowed to give negative rep points.
Should we raise the scale to something like +1 to +25 perhaps.

I think you should close the old thread and update what was left so that members can start the new system right now.

its great but raising it from 10 to 25 like you thinking would be better or even more giving something like a star colored according to the reputation under the post ofcourse something else than a star

I was just curious i saw the user torrents4life had trading rep +3 under his stars but noone else has it.

if this was explained i must have missed it im so tired right now or is this something he added?

Reputation just fo trading or it can be used for good topics, posts ?

I think negative points is not a good idea and is not needed, we do have an scammer thread to which users should monitor and if an known scammer/cheat or a banned user is trying to trade or get back into a site, users here are really good and alert other members to that persons bad ways.

I think the scale should be raised up to +25 perhaps even more like 50 as max amount, 10 is a bit low.

I think this is a better system than the old one. but one thing, this sentence:
They can be given to those who give you valued invites.

so when does invites become valued? like for example would TL be a valued invite?

and I dont think thers is any reason to have it higher than 25...

Automated system looks great :) much better way :)

Well thats really at the discretion of the member thats giving the point.
Think most would say should be above like a 2.5 site and not common.

Points will be setup to go up to 25 points which will be setup later on.
Also most likely going to add an image for every 5 points like...
