Good place to start?

I have been using newsgroups since I don't even remember when; can pretty much find anything I need. However recently I have decided to give back to the community (basically my computer is on 24/7 at work with pretty much unlimited hard drive space and decent upload speed). So I was wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction, I tried registering for TB but every time I get through it says authorization code is invalid and shortly after it says max user limit). What are some good community alternatives?

yeah...many...but most are invite only...when u'll get access to the invite section u'll see

I would say newsgroups if you just want to leech; there are no ratios and you get top download speed. But there are some downs. You don't give back to the community (which makes this all happened), usually you have to pay for it, and you cannot always find what you are looking for.

To each their own. Although NG has one bare advantage and that is privacy. Your IP is not viewed by anyone else except the host you use for NG. So you are basically RIAA free.:lol:

and if the riaa and mpaa start their own trackers and newsgroups just to catch users :lol:

Invite only though? no?

If you wait for a month to get access on the invite section you can get it for free. In the mean time, you should register one or two of the signup on the Open for signup thread to build ratio and have some prove to your later inviters.
