Older versions of IPB were relatively easy to get other peeps passwords and what not but i would imagine they are more secure now.
Its quite poss, without hacking or anything to find out my name, and the town where i live. This makes it incredibly easy to find me, especially considering there are also photos of me out there.
But what the hell, it makes no odds to me if people know who i am or not... :) :D
No risk no fun.
Do not fear, the php man is here! Anyways, to answer your question, it is nearly impossible to hack IB from a remote location... now, if they got onto the server via SSH, and managed to crack the passcode to the database (which I change monthly on my site... hehe... I programmed a little php script to do it for me ;)), that would be a whole different story. Well, anyways, back to tending to my LaRgE collection of MP3's... lol... ttyl.
what coould they do with my real name
i have no credit cards or my own house or anything that i own worth value
im only 14
oh an my email adress is
or forget it i dont trust some people
spam anyone
I could not see the riaa owning this board.
They would never be able to do it legally even if they get the right to attack people who share online.
There will always be security holes in this forums software. And there is nothing that vb, jon or paul can do about it.
but as long as they stay up to date the risk is much less.
What are you talking about? The RIAA offered $10k to VB last month for this board...Of course he accepted the offer... LOL just kidding =)Quote:

As far as I know everything here is pretty secure...I have a unique password on the db I don't use anywhere else...quite long too...
Jon
you actually raise a good point here...how much would VB need to be offered to sell us out??
even better, how much would they need to offer Random Nut for him to put a few "add-ins" into the next release??
<_< They'd never do it, Im sure :D :D
would you? ;) :o
when i meant owning i meant it in a sort of pwned by 1337 h4x0r kinda way ;)
still i would have taken the money and ran. B)
LOL ! That WAS YOU that I saw on the Post Office wall !!  J/K :DQuote:

If the RIAA are watching:
You can take your DRM shit and shove it up your ass.
RIAA, they'll never bother us.
I have emailed them with my home address once for a dare. There is no need at all to worry.
They need to nail the sources, not individual people who get them.
What do you guys think they would offer a Mod? :-"
Probably about $1000 at the most.
I don't know being a ring leader like you might mean they would offer you 6 months :DQuote:
