Can someone recommend a media player for me?
Here is what I'm looking for: I only listen to newly released music. So my collection is never over like 300 albums at a time. I dont need to sort the music by album/artist/year ect. I'm really looking for a program that will operate like a bar's jukebox.
Show me the artist/album/and coverart in an alphabetical list. I would like to be able to review entire albums and sort accordingly.
I'v heard Itunes can do this, but are there any alternatives?

iTunes is the Anti-Christ.
Go with Winamp.

Re: Can someone recommend a media player for me?
Media Monkey is also a good one. It works with some of the WinAmp pluggins as well. Plays almost any audio file out there!

You could give Quintessential player a try http://www.quinnware.com/
With it's plug-ins it could be what you want and it's free.

Why? I actually like my iTunes. It slows down the comp a bit, but it's organized and I need it to recharge my mini. I've tried another program that runs with Firefox - can't quite remember what it's called - but, it was decent as well.
Then again, I don't have anything against Winamp. iTunes has just grown on me.

Ah, I found it. The program was called Songbird.

Looks interesting. All that's out right now is a test version. The real thing should be good.

Re: Can someone recommend a media player for me?
Use Foobar2000. You can basically customize it endlessly.

Re: Can someone recommend a media player for me?
Foobar2000 can be quite a powerful music player once you take the time and start getting into all the goods it has to offer, and even then there are tons of plugins available for it.

VLC and Mplayerc for videos
Fooba2000 for audio ++++++++++++++
winamp is faaaaaaaaar behind foobar2000 capabilities, pain in the ass to learn how to tweak it but worth every effort
